Baikunthadham Ashram located in Silchar, Tarapur, Kali Mohon Road, Assam is a socio-spiritual organization and a Krishna temple of repute. Here many devout persons every day take rice Prasad with pulses, vegetables, sweet porridge etc. free of cost; without paying out anything to the Ashram authority. Because as a rule, the Ashram authority never seek any price for the Prasad they serve to people or they are not supposed to ask for the charge generally in their routine affair since they believe in the saying that: Service To Mankind Is Service To God.
At Baikunthadham the principal deity is Kalachad. Kalachad is a famous name of Lord Krishna, for the dark features of the Godhead, according to Srimad Bhagvad. Here every single day rice Prasad is distributed to the arrived disciples coming from far and near places to receive divine blessings of Gurudev to get rid of numerous problems; infesting daily life. After performing religious duties, the followers and guests are humbly asked to get rice Prasad sitting on floor mats, specially designed for the purpose of regular usage. The floor mats are bestrewed horizontally over the verandah, in front of the temple. Citing clearly, devotees are not differentiated on the grounds of race, language, culture and caste while serving rice Prasad in the precinct of Baikunthadham Ashram. The Ashram authority loves to call the service ‘Bhakta Seva’ for which they do never charge a paise from the devout individuals. The rule has been in practice for many years; it is a continuous and never-ending process of food serving to people daily by the Goswamis of Baikunthadham Ashram and their descendent who survives the tradition. One remarkable thing about ‘Bhakta Seva’ is that, at Baikunthadham Ashram whoever arrives in afternoon, evening and night will be given rice Prasad definitely. There is no time limit given, but for all practical purposes the system winds up at 10 pm regularly because the entire machinery of the Ashram will be put to work again, on the same routine usually in next morning. The Prasad is served to individuals visiting Ashram conventionally.

He was a devotee of Sripad Nityananda, the fraternal consort of Mahaprabhu Sri Chaitanya, another incarnation of Lord Narayana in this age, appeared in Bengal 500 years back from now. Gurudev’s asceticism was revolutionary. He defined monkhood to a new light; endeavored always to serve people in his awakened stage. He slept for a very little time, at night; half an hour or so. Mostly he used to remain busy with people who came to him desiring to achieve different ends. Gurudev Balesh Ranjan Goswami used to say, “Bhakta Seva is my life”, “I should live as long as I serve people”. He was a typical Karma Yogi and his austere practices reeled round one and only desire to feed and serve people. He conquered physical limitations, kept on serious fasting only to see that the very last person in the assemblage of devotees ate well unto his furthermost satisfaction. Gurudev Balesh Ranjan Goswami had wide acceptances in the society while living, matched with synonymous devotion meted out to him by the people on his death. Gurudev Balesh Ranjan Goswami passed away on July 2015.
Baikunthadham Ashram thrives today under the divine influences of Father and Son; His Holiness Prabhupada Braja Raman Goswami and Gurudev Balesh Ranjan Goswami.
